Job summary

Check is seeking a People Operations Associate to join our People team, supporting recruiting coordination, onboarding, SF office operations, culture, and people ops administration. You’ll report to the Head of People and collaborate with the Lead Recruiter and Sr. People Ops Partner in day‑to‑day work.

This role requires a real doer with attention to detail, a bias toward action, and a willingness to spend at least 2 days/week in the SF office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience coordinating recruiting or People Operations.
• Experience executing critical workflows at scale, including onboarding and offboarding.
• Experience designing thoughtful virtual and in-person experiences.
• Familiarity with our People Team tech stack: Ashby, Eddy, Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Claude Cowork.
• Ability to be the face of Check's SF office with in-office presence at least 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Anchor the SF office presence with event planning, space management, and vendor coordination.
• Drive candidate scheduling and communication across interview loops and stages.
• Lead the candidate-to-new-hire transition: offers, background checks, provisioning.
• Support core People programs: HRIS data hygiene, payroll/benefits backups, audits.
• Organize company events and cultural touchpoints, including the annual retreat and remote experiences.
