Job summary

Unison is seeking a motivated People Operations Associate to join our growing People Operations team in Omaha. The role blends HR generalist duties with payroll, benefits, onboarding, and compliance, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance the employee experience.

This hybrid role requires strong communication, project management, and knowledge of multi-state employment laws, especially California and Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in People Operations or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Support HR functions from recruitment to compliance.
• Assist with onboarding, background checks, and new hire orientation.
• Maintain employee records and organizational charts.
• Administer compensation, benefits, and leave; assist payroll as needed.
• Ensure policy compliance and respond to HR inquiries across offices.
• Support training, performance management, and safety programs.
