8Fleet, Inc. is seeking a People Operations Specialist to support payroll processing and benefits administration for a high-volume frontline workforce. The role also covers onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance in a fast-paced startup environment.

Based in Atlanta or Miami, you will partner with our PEO and HR team to ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll, benefits, and HR data while helping scale our operations as we grow.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of HR/People Operations experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and handling sensitive employee data.
• Low-ego, service-oriented mindset with ability to pivot between payroll strategy and HR tasks.
• Clear, friendly communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly payroll for a high-volume frontline workforce with hours, overtime, and PTO.
• Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life, FSA/HSA) and enrollments.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding; support employee relations and HR policies.
• Maintain clean data in HRIS/timekeeping/PEO systems; assist with talent acquisition tasks.
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with wage/hour laws.
