Job summary

8Fleet, a LA-based technology and logistics startup, seeks a Senior Manager, People Operations to scale our multi-location workforce and build a high-performance People function.

You will own core People Operations including payroll, benefits, compliance, workers' comp, leave administration, and new location launches, partnering with Legal, Finance, Safety, and Analytics to deliver a best-in-class employee experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience with leadership of core ops.
• Strong payroll, benefits, vendor management, compliance, workers' comp and leaves.
• Experience supporting multi-state or multi-location hourly workforces and scaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve employee lifecycle processes and onboarding.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, and regulatory compliance with strong controls.
• Manage workers' compensation, leaves, and return-to-work programs.
• Drive new location launches with ongoing policy and process readiness.
• Establish scalable ops, documentation, and service standards across People Ops.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Safety, and Analytics to reduce risk and improve experience.
