OCHIN, Inc. is seeking a People Operations Partner to translate business strategy into people initiatives, collaborating with leaders to align talent, culture, and organizational priorities.

The role uses data and trends to identify opportunities, supports change leadership, and helps build an adaptive, high-performing organization; travel for Go-Live and training may be required. This is a 100% remote role across multiple states.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in People and Culture disciplines across compensation, design, relations, and compliance.
  • Experience with HRIS and data-driven decision making.
  • Professional People and Culture Certification (SHRM/HRCI) preferred.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with leaders and build trust.
  • Comfort with travel and flexible hours across time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a strategic People & Culture partner, aligning people strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Provides leaders with workforce analysis and strategic guidance to support decision making and performance.
  • Partners with leaders to address design, change management, engagement, retention, and succession needs.
  • Advices on performance management, employee relations, and culture while balancing business outcomes and risk.
  • Leads and supports strategic initiatives ensuring people considerations are integrated into planning and outcomes.
  • Uses workforce data to identify opportunities, risks, and needs, proposing proactive solutions.
  • Collaborates across People & Culture Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated talent strategies.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws and evolving regulations.
  • Champions continuous improvement through innovative practices and tools.
  • Builds trusted relationships to foster collaboration and high performance.

The People Operations Partner serves as a strategic advisor and trusted thought partner to leaders and employees, translating business strategy into people strategies that strengthen organizational performance, leadership effectiveness, and employee experience. This role partners closely with leaders to anticipate workforce needs, navigate change, and align talent, culture, and organizational priorities with OCHIN's mission, values, and long-term objectives.

The People Operations Partner leverages data, insights, and emerging trends to proactively identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and build organizational capability. Through strategic consultation, change leadership, and operational excellence, this role helps shape an adaptive, high performing organization that is prepared to meet evolving business, workforce, and market demands while advancing OCHIN's mission and impact.

Essential Functions
  • Serves as a strategic People & Culture partner, developing a deep understanding of business priorities and workforce dynamics to align people strategies, programs, and solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Provides leaders with forward looking insights, workforce analysis, and strategic guidance to support decision making, organizational effectiveness, talent planning, and business performance.
  • Partners with leaders to anticipate and address workforce challenges, including organizational design, change management, employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and team effectiveness.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and employees on performance management, employee relations, workplace concerns, leadership effectiveness, and culture, balancing business outcomes with employee experience and risk mitigation.
  • Leads and supports strategic initiatives and business critical projects, ensuring people and culture considerations are integrated into planning, implementation, and outcomes.
  • Uses workforce data, trends, and organizational insights to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging needs, recommending proactive solutions that strengthen engagement, retention, inclusion, and organizational capability.
  • Partners across People & Culture Centers of Excellence to ensure integrated delivery of talent, learning, total rewards, organizational development, and employee experience strategies.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies while maintaining awareness of evolving legislative and workforce trends that may impact OCHIN.
  • Champions continuous improvement by introducing innovative practices, tools, and approaches that enhance organizational agility, leadership capability, employee growth, and business effectiveness.
  • Builds trusted relationships across the organization, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of high performance aligned with OCHIN's mission and values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in multiple People and Culture disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective laws preferred.
  • HRIS experience preferred.
  • Professional People and Culture Certification (SHRM/HRCI) preferred.
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, draw reliable conclusions, and recommend operational improvements.
  • Experience implementing HR initiatives and delivering results in a changing, growing business environment.
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that support collaboration and build trust.
  • Experience working in a growing, multistate organization, with the flexibility to occasionally support business needs outside standard hours across time zones.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to guide leaders through complex situations.
  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations, and teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. It’s not about passing or failing—it’s about understanding fit and setting you up for success.
Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.
