Eight Sleep, Inc. is seeking a proactive new graduate to join our People Ops team and lead searches from day one. You will source, screen, and help close top talent for a fast-paced startup, partnering with hiring managers across Engineering, Design, Growth, and Operations.

Qualifications

The Role

People are how we win. Recruiting sits at the center of everything Eight Sleep builds. Every engineer, designer, and marketer we hire started as a candidate someone found, screened, and closed. You'll join our People Ops team and own real searches from day one. You won't be shadowing. You'll be sourcing, screening, and helping close.

We're looking for a hungry, proactive new graduate at the start of their career who treats hiring like a craft. The ideal candidate is relentless about finding great people, obsessive about candidate experience, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll work closely with hiring managers across Engineering, Design, Growth, and Operations, and with executives who care deeply about who we hire.

How you’ll contribute

• Find the next generation of top 1% talent: the people who raise the bar for everyone around them

• Keep our ATS (Ashby) clean and our pipeline metrics honest

• Support employer branding: career fairs, university partnerships, and content that makes great people want to work here

• Run internal comms: company announcements, new-hire introductions, and the updates that keep the team informed and connected

• Build automations and internal tools that streamline the employee lifecycle, from offer to onboarding to offboarding, using scripts, APIs, no-code tools, and AI agents

• Turn recruiting and People data into dashboards and insights that leadership actually uses

What you need to succeed

• Evidence of initiative: you’ve organized, recruited, or built something, whether a club, an event, a team, a community, or a campus organization

• English fluency

• Technical curiosity: you’ve built something with code, spreadsheets, no-code tools, or AI, and you like figuring out how systems fit together

• Relentless follow-through: you close loops, you don’t let candidates go cold, you chase answers

• Comfort with ambiguity and a rapid-paced environment. Priorities shift, and you adapt without hand-holding

• A talent for spotting talent: you can tell exceptional from good, and you’re endlessly curious about what makes someone great at their job

• Graduated in the last 12 months or graduating soon, with a degree in engineering, computer science, psychology, or business

• Legal permit to work in the EU and willingness to work from Milan

Bonus points for

• Internship or part-time experience in recruiting, HR, sales, or any role where you had to convince people

• A passion for people: you love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and helping them find work they’ll thrive in

• Experience with scripting (Python, JavaScript, SQL), automation tools (Zapier, Make), or building with LLMs and AI agents
