Job summary

Nortech Systems is seeking a Manager for People Operations Business Partner to join our Bemidji, MN team. You will partner with leaders to design and execute people strategies that drive engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Reporting to the Director of People Operations, this role leads end-to-end initiatives, oversees lifecycle programs, ensures compliance, and builds strong enterprise relationships in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or closely related field.
• Six (6)+ years in progressively complex People Operations or HR roles, including hands-on generalist responsibility and leadership of large-scale initiatives.
• One (1)+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• One (1)+ years project management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to translate business strategy into clear people strategies.
• Analyze workforce data to inform talent decisions and organizational health indicators.
• Own end-to-end, large-scale People Operations initiatives from design to post-implementation evaluation.
• Lead the employee lifecycle components to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with priorities.
• Advise leaders and employees on employee relations, coaching, and investigations.
• Develop and lead local employee communications aligned with enterprise messaging.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
