Job summary

Bios Life is seeking an experienced HR Manager to own the day-to-day People function as we grow. You will manage recruiting, onboarding, performance, development, compensation, and retention, serving as a trusted resource to employees and managers while aligning programs with a rapidly changing organization.

The HR Manager will report to the COO and collaborate with the fractional Chief People Officer to provide strategic and operational HR leadership in Cambridge, MA, with an emphasis on

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience in a startup or fast-growing organization.
• Experience with employee relations and performance management.
• Experience coordinating with external recruiters.
• Understanding of compensation benchmarking and internal equity.
• Experience working with PEOs and outsourced HR/benefits.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day People Operations and serve as a primary resources for employees and managers.
• Lead Recruiting & Talent Acquisition processes and partner with hiring managers.
• Support Employee Relations and coaching for managers on performance and conversations.
• Oversee Performance, Development & Retention programs and employee engagement.
• Assist Compensation benchmarking and approvals for hires and changes.
• Manage HR systems, benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance.
• Foster a positive culture and employee experience in a fast-paced startup.
