Job summary

The Arc of Greater New Orleans is seeking a motivated Human Resources Recruitment and Retention Coordinator to support recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention efforts across the organization.

The role emphasizes people-first practices, collaboration with program teams, and ensuring compliant, efficient HR processes. Regular travel to ArcGNO locations and job fairs is required, with strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
• At least two years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, HR, or employee engagement preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, interviewing, and relationship-building skills; ability to manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Post job openings, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews.
• Complete reference checks, background screenings, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Conduct new-hire orientation and coordinate required training.
• Check in with new employees during their first 30 days.
• Conduct stay interviews and support employee recognition and engagement activities.
• Track recruitment, onboarding, turnover, and retention data.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
• Assist with CARF surveys, compliance audits, and other HR initiatives.
