Job summary

Global Partners LP seeks an Employee Relations Specialist to focus on managing employee and labor relations, including unionized environments, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions. The role partners with HR and Talent Development to educate staff and ensure policy adherence.

Based in Florida, the position supports M&A labor relations, unemployment processes, and implements tools to promote accountability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively and tailor messages to the audience.
• Understands HR practices, principles, and local compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support unionized employees including grievances & arbitration.
• Manage employee relations issues via whistleblower/hotline/3rd party channels.
• Identify, recommend, and consult on discipline management with HRBP.
• Investigate external party complaints with HR component.
• Support escalated employee relations issues with HRBP.
• Adhere to consistent approaches for employee investigations.
• Participate in unemployment hearings and respond to unemployment questionnaires.
• Provide labor relations support for M&A activities and unionization efforts.
• Respond to requests from Legal for HR-related matters.
• Adjudication of background checks and pre-adverse action processes.
• Manage severance agreement processes.
• Partner with TD and HRBP to educate employees and promote HR compliance.
• Monitor and respond to employee engagement feedback.
