Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases; handle a variety of products.
• Process financial transactions accurately (cash, checks, cards, coupons, etc.) per policy.
• Weigh and bag customer purchases.
• Understand check-stand equipment and its operation.
• Assist front-end duties such as merchandising check-stand and displays.
• Ensure correct PLUs and pricing; report pricing or signage errors.
• Maintain store programs, product locations, and customer communication about promos.
• Follow company PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• May assist with stocking items and other departments as needed.
