JCPenney is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving results and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will lead a team, execute store operations, and maintain an engaging, high-energy atmosphere that motivates associates and delights customers.

You will partner with the Store Manager to develop talent, achieve sales goals, and uphold brand standards, while adapting to changing business needs and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Co/Assistant Manager in a high-volume, apparel environment.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and performance targets.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Occasional travel to other store locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Store Manager to create action plans to achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Develop team members to deliver great customer experiences.
• Oversee assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Support store standards for merchandising and operations consistently.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
