JCPenney is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team and delivering an amazing customer experience. You will help execute store operations, maintain visual standards, and foster a positive environment that develops managers and associates daily.

You will lead with urgency, adapt to change, and be a strong communicator, partnering to grow the business and maximize sales through knowledgeable selling and strong people management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Co/Assistant Manager in similar volume, apparel business (preferred).
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans to achieve results.
• Understand product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty.
• Develop team members who are committed to a great customer experience.
• Oversee assigned division and be accountable for results.
• Ensure store standards for merchandising and operations are met.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to grow the business.
• Remain composed in challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on shifts and execute management functions in the absence of Store Manager.
