Job summary

Discount Tire is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Asheville, NC. You will lead and mentor a team on the sales floor, ensure safe, efficient service, and drive a positive customer experience. This role offers a promote-from-within culture and weekly pay in a people-first environment.

You will oversee tire-related tasks, inventory management, and staff development while promoting a strong, customer-centric store. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Team mindset and leadership experience preferred.
• Servant leader energy with calm, positive attitude.
• Hands-on stamina to stay on your feet and hustle with a team.
• Strength to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive enthusiasm is a plus and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Busting tires: Install, rotate, balance, repair, and clean tires and wheels.
• Coaching a team: Train, mentor, and coach a team of 4-5 technicians.
• Managing: Organize new and existing inventory of tires, wheels, wiper blades, and lug nuts.
• Delighting customers: Provide an inviting, easy, and safe customer experience.
• Growing: Learn by doing with hands-on, on-the-job training and development.
