Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Santa Fe NM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to foster an inclusive environment and empower a large team of Associates, delivering memorable customer experiences while driving sales and controlling costs.

You will recruit and train staff, implement company initiatives, and lead projects to improve store operations and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Ability to lead, develop and empower a large team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and mentor others.
• Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping and receiving; focus on minimizing shrink and damages.
• Recruit, train and mentor Associates; create a positive, engaging environment for both staff and customers.
• Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, and company initiatives; contribute to succession planning.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and improve store layout and efficiency.
