Job summary

Famous Footwear is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead the team in the absence of the Store Manager, coaching and developing Associates while driving a best-in-class customer experience.

You will manage daily store operations, engage customers, hire and train staff, and ensure procedures and policies are followed. A passion for shoes and strong leadership are essential for growth and success.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of sales experience preferred in retail.
• Ability to interview, hire, and train team members.
• Strong leadership, motivation, and communication with store Associates.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates with integrity and drive to deliver Customer Connection.
• Network with external talent; assist Store Manager with hiring top talent.
• Oversee retail operations, pricing, shipping, inventory and staffing aligning with store standards.
• Drive sales by applying insights to improve performance and achieve targets.
• Foster a diverse, inclusive culture and lead by example to boost retention.
• Step in as Store Manager in their absence and coach internal talent.
