Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a People Data Analyst to join its onsite People Analytics team in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on turning People data into actionable insights for HR and business leaders, emphasizing data manipulation and interpretation over dashboard creation.

You will partner with the analytics lead, handle large Workday datasets, and translate findings into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders while helping strengthen data governance and reporting standards.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning and structuring large datasets for analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to explain data significance.
• Experience with HRIS or workforce data; Workday preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple requests.
• Prior HR/People Analytics analytics experience preferred.

As a People Data Analyst on Rosendin's People Analytics team (onsite in San Jose, CA), you'll turn People data into actionable insight for HR and the business. The role focuses on data manipulation, investigation, and interpretation, rather than building or maintaining dashboards, so your work directly supports analysis-driven conversations.

What you'll do

• Partner with the People Analytics Lead to complete incoming reporting and analysis requests, prioritizing based on business impact and urgency.
• Manipulate and structure large, complex datasets from Workday and related systems to prepare them for analysis.
• Analyze workforce indicators such as headcount, turnover, hiring, tenure, and related trends to identify meaningful patterns.
• Translate findings into clear, actionable narratives for HR Partners, HR Ops leadership, and business stakeholders.
• Support the build-out of data governance and definitions standards to improve consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the People Analytics Lead on the dashboard and reporting framework, providing analytical context and validation.

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets, including cleaning, structuring, and manipulating data for analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain what the data means and why it matters.
• Experience with HRIS or workforce data, with Workday experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (such as Excel and Power BI, or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting insights to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize across multiple concurrent requests.
• Prior experience in HR, People Analytics, or a related analytics function preferred.

Working conditions

General work is performed indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium and can be loud on the jobsite. The role includes sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending, with occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Rosendin complies with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures.

Pay range

$74,400.00-$97,700.00 annually. The pay range reflects qualifications and requirements listed in the job description, and candidate pay may vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
