We are building a beloved brand, and to be successful, we have to build a great team across a number of disciplines – ecommerce, retail, design, and manufacturing. We're seeking a People + Culture Operations Manager who is passionate about the employee experience and keeps the studio humming every single day. You are organized, communicative, compassionate, and a natural problem solver — equally comfortable onboarding a new team member, pulling a daily operations report and planning a team cookout. You think preemptively and strategically when it comes to employee-driven issues. You follow through promptly on requests, maintain an open door for feedback, and bring genuine care to every interaction — whether that is welcoming a new hire on their first day or greasing the wheels with a vendor. This is a great role for someone energized by a fast-paced studio environment and excited to help build something great.
Provide support and guidance when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. Work with the People & Culture team to coordinate on-site career events and actively source, interview, and hire qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Assist with compliance, including federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Help manage the performance management process including disciplinary action and tracking of attendance challenges. Assist with HR systems and HR administration to keep wheels-in-motion for new hires and existing team members alike. Onboard new team members, sharing our brand vision, values, and operating principles. Coordinate and facilitate on-site employee events that bolster culture.
Monitor and support daily production flow, including shift reporting, and work order prioritization. Maintain vendor contacts and service agreements; keep the back office, conference rooms, and Google Meet setups clean, organized, and fully operational. Greet and sign in all visitors, issue visitor badges, and guide them to their destinations within the facility. Handle incoming mail and package deliveries, directing items to the correct recipients. Monitor and manage facility systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and panic alarm; conduct hourly perimeter checks of doors and overhead doors.
