Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to support talent acquisition, HRIS, benefits, policy administration, training and employee relations at our New Philadelphia, Ohio plant.

You will ensure AA/EEO compliance, data accuracy in HRIS, and smooth onboarding, with travel as needed. A BS/BA and 3+ years in HR are required; PHR preferred. We value confidentiality, independent work, and equal opportunity for all applicants.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required; concentration in HR, Business, Organizational Communication, or Industrial Psychology preferred.
• Three+ years of Human Resources experience.
• PHR Certification preferred.
• Maintain confidential information and exercise discretion.
• Works independently and provides guidance to others.
• Proficient in MS Office, HRIS and other software.
• Excellent written and oral communication; attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conducts recruitment activities including postings, screening, scheduling interviews, background checks, and hiring processing for open positions.
• Coordinate job bidding, interviewing, selection, and offers for plant positions.
• Participate in employment events such as on-site college recruiting and job fairs.
• Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation.
• Advise employees on health and wellness benefits, compensation, and corporate programs.
• Administer HR plans and procedures; assist in policy development and updates.
• Maintain HRIS data, organization charts, and compliance with records standards.
• Administer leaves of absence and attendance tracking; ensure records accuracy.
• Support employee engagement activities and wellness initiatives; conduct exit interviews and offboarding.
