Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an HR Generalist to support HRBP and help drive local talent initiatives. You will coordinate core HR processes, support onboarding and payroll activities, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

The role emphasizes employee engagement, coaching for supervisors, and collaboration with Talent Acquisition on staffing plans, while maintaining accurate personnel records and supporting diversity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires strong HR knowledge and experience in HR processes (performance management, onboarding, payroll, policies).
• Experience interpreting and applying federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Proven ability to coach employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HRBP to execute core HR processes such as performance and talent management, total rewards, compensation, and training.
• Coordinate and conduct new associate orientation, onboarding, and exit interviews; manage unemployment claims and leave administration.
• Review and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies; maintain personnel files accurately.
