Job summary

WonderWorks Panama City Beach is seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team at the upside-down theme park. You will manage recruiting, onboarding, and employee records to support a dynamic, inclusive workplace.

This on-site role requires knowledge of HRIS, payroll processing, and compliance, plus the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Prior experience in high-volume entertainment venues is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in human resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business management, or HR certification preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume entertainment venue preferred.
• Must be able to work onsite and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, completes, and processes all tasks and paperwork required in recruiting and onboarding.
• Process and maintain all employee records for new hires, transfers, changes in status, terminations, benefits enrollment and compensation changes.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
• Conducts new hire orientation ensuring safety, training, and policies are read and acknowledged.
• Handles investigations, complaints, terminations, worker's compensation and unemployment claims, leaves, etc.
• Processes weekly payroll, reviewing time sheets, tips and commissions, and updating status changes and benefits.
• Lead and execute employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive company culture.
• Performs other duties as assigned
