Job summary

Salish Lodge & Spa is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to support the P&C department's daily operations and deliver exceptional service to team members. The role requires a bilingual English/Spanish communicator who can assist with onboarding, training, compliance, recruitment, and employee relations in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will manage meetings, draft bilingual communications, maintain records, and provide Dayforce HRIS support.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Strong hospitality/service mindset.
  • Proficient with MS Office; advanced Excel preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance.
  • Able to work in collaborative and independent settings.
  • Discretion handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to team member requests, voicemails, and emails promptly.
  • Support onboarding, compliance, training, recruiting, employee relations, and other P&C functions.
  • Draft communication materials in English and Spanish.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and department logistics.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives; maintain organized records.
  • Manage assigned projects from initiation to completion with attention to detail.
  • Assist with background checks and I-9 compliance.
  • Support employee engagement surveys and recognition programs.
  • Provide HRIS (Dayforce) administrative support.
  • Support across all P&C functions; perform other duties as needed.

The People & Culture Coordinator plays a key role in supporting all administrative functions of the People & Culture department while providing stellar customer service to team members. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment.

  • Serve as primary contact for HRIS (Dayforce) administrative support
  • Provide support across all functions within the department
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and business needs
What You Bring
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Passion for hospitality with a strong service mindset
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge applicable HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to thrive in both collaborative and independent work environments
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, integrity and professionalism, especially when handling confidential information
  • Ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment; adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Strong ability to prioritize competing demands, anticipate needs, and take initiative
