Job summary

TUV SUD America, Inc. in Wakefield, MA, is seeking a People Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to assigned business units.

You will support performance management, workforce planning, employee development, organizational change, and use data to strengthen the People programs and employee experience. You will partner with leaders to anticipate workforce needs, manage talent and succession planning, and promote inclusive hiring and development across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a People Business Partner or in HR.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and employee development.
  • Practical knowledge of employment laws incl EEO, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and HIPAA.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, influence leaders, and communicate across levels.
  • HR certification such as PHR/SHRM-CP/CCP preferred; experience in matrixed or global-mobility contexts helpful.

  • Lead employee exit processes, analyze feedback and trends, and recommend actions to strengthen the employee experience.
  • Partner with leaders to anticipate workforce needs, identify capability gaps, and support talent and succession planning.
  • Promote equitable growth and career-development opportunities with DEI collaboration on inclusive hiring and training.
  • Support organizational changes through planning, communication, and strong engagement.
  • Analyze people-related data to identify opportunities and improve People Department programs.

Education

As a People Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor to assigned business units, helping leaders translate organizational priorities into effective people strategies. You will support performance management, workforce planning, employee development, organizational change, and other People initiatives while using data and employee feedback to strengthen programs and the overall employee experience.

Your Tasks
  • Act as a strategic partner to assigned business units, advising leaders on people-related matters and supporting the achievement of business goals.

  • Support performance-management cycles, including goal setting, feedback discussions, talent reviews, and employee-development initiatives.

  • Lead employee exit processes, analyze feedback and trends, and recommend actions to strengthen the employee experience.

  • Partner with leaders to anticipate workforce needs, identify capability and skill gaps, and support talent and succession planning.

  • Promote equitable growth and career-development opportunities while collaborating with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team on inclusive hiring, training, and employee-resource-group initiatives.

  • Support organizational changes through thoughtful planning, clear communication, and strong employee engagement.

  • Analyze people-related data and metrics to identify opportunities, inform recommendations, and improve People Department programs and practices.

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Three to five years of experience as a People Business Partner or in a comparable Human Resources role.

  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and employee development.

  • Practical knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and HIPAA.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence leaders, navigate complex situations, and communicate effectively across organizational levels.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use people-related data to develop insights and recommendations; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

  • Human Resources certification, such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or CCP, is preferred. Experience in a professional-services or matrixed organization and familiarity with international Human Resources practices or global-mobility topics are also advantageous.

Additional Information
  • Location and work model: This position is based in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and follows a hybrid work schedule.

  • The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $87,000-$100,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 2 weeks for other parents, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.

  • Travel: Occasional travel to local business sites may be required.

  • This position supports multiple business units and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
