The People Business Partner (PBP) will provide coaching, create a sense of community and connectivity within our Gaithersburg lab; lead organizational assessments, and embed our people strategy within the business functions to achieve short and long-term Company goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the relationship between team members, leaders, and the organization through:
  • Problem resolution through non-biased internal investigations.
  • Resolve conflict.
  • Provide guidance on discipline and terminations.
  • Ensure fair treatment and compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Foster a positive work environment.
  • Promote team member satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement team member relations best practices and programs.
  • Execute and engage team members in people strategies and engagement initiatives.
  • Coaching leaders on all things business and people, implementing and shaping a foundation that will enable us to scale our business and patient impact in the years to come. This role mirrors a start-up environment: agile, collaborative, and ever-evolving, blending support and strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Partner with leaders to align current and future business needs into an integrated people plan for the function, focusing on opportunities that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the business.
  • Proactively understand team, leadership, and organizational needs, making recommendations, and implementing appropriate solutions to scale.
  • Integrate and partner with the People team in Recruitment, Total Rewards, People Strategy, and Legal to build and implement solutions that will help scale the business and support our people.
  • Align with functional goals and key areas of impact. Consistently analyze progress and stop gaps to support teams in achieving their goals and/or creating new pathways that will lead to solutions and breakthroughs.
  • Connect with leaders to ensure Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging is owned by all and led by our leaders.
  • Ensure the proper rollout and usage of People processes (systems, performance, engagement, SOP's, etc.).
  • Coach and support leaders in all things people leadership to build productive, collaborative, and engaged teams.
  • Ensure teams understand where we are going, how we are getting there, how their role/function plays a critical role, and that they feel empowered and excited to make a positive impact together!
