Job summary

Kalman & Company is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst for an onsite role at the Pentagon. An Active Secret clearance is required to qualify, with a government proposal tied to the position. Salary range is $115K–$195K per year.

Responsibilities include requirements refinement, COTS/GOTS evaluation, and optimizing IT governance and portfolio management tools for defense-related modernization efforts exceeding $1 million.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer/Systems Engineering with 8 years of experience.
• ITIL and/or CISSP certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with requirements definition and refinement; evaluate COTS and GOTS software.
• Evaluate IT capabilities including AI/ML prototypes for government use.
• Benchmark and integrate program/portfolio management and modeling tools.
• Support NDAA-aligned defense modernization projects over $1M.
• Provide IT governance, security reviews, and IT audit compliance support.
• Support SAF/AQX IT portfolio management and data-driven consolidation efforts.
