Job summary

Apogee seeks a Strategic Deterrence Research Analyst to support HAF/A10. The role will deliver research, analysis, and consultative support on deterrence policy, guidance integration, and education activities at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities include producing reports and briefings, supporting deterrence concepts and CONOPs, and coordinating with national-level planners to inform USAF strategy. Requires TS/SCI access and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Citizenship requirement: US citizen.
• Clearance requirement: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: Three (3) years in the field.

Responsibilities

• Research and analytical support on strategic deterrence topics, including policy, strategy, arms control, NC3, CWMD, and related national security issues.
• Produce and deliver comprehensive reports, briefings, analyses detailing findings and implications; travel may be required (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Provide expert consultation to devise innovative organizational solutions for deterrence challenges and present to AF/A10 leadership.
• Plan, support, and conduct forums, workshops, seminars, and conferences on deterrence topics and summarize outcomes.
• Analyze and integrate guidance from national strategic documents and provide recommendations for DoD/USAF policies and planning.
• Support major strategic reviews (PBR, NPR, JSCP, GFMAP) with analysis and official Air Force input.
• Review deterrence education and research initiatives for relevance and applicability.
• Publish research findings and share results with deterrence education and research communities.
• Establish and maintain a professional deterrence research network with academia and partners.
