Job summary

2 Circle, Inc. seeks a Senior Scientist / Engineer to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD RandE).

The role requires on-site work at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, and involves advising on advanced research areas and fielding capabilities for national defense programs. The successful candidate will bring a doctoral degree, DoD experience, and strong communication skills to lead technical briefings and risk assessments, ensuring mission-critical

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required.
• Five years experience in the DoD.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative and work independently.
• Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
• TS//SCI Clearance Required.

Responsibilities

• Lead advisor to OUSD RandE leadership on research and development.
• Provide technical guidance in military systems, cyber, EW, optics, materials science, electromagnetics, and tech transition.
• Prepare and brief essential job functions and written documentation.
