Job summary

2 Circle, Inc. seeks a Senior Scientist/Engineer to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. The role requires on-site work at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, and collaboration with DoD leadership on advanced research and development initiatives.

The candidate will provide technical guidance across military systems, cyber, EW, optics, and materials science, with emphasis on written documentation and briefings. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required.
• 5+ years of DoD experience expected.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel).
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and elevate management issues.
• Must be TS/SCI cleared.

Responsibilities

• Lead advisor to OUSD RandE leadership on research and development.
• Serve as technical advisor in military systems, cyber, EW, optics, materials science, electromagnetics.
• Oversee technology transition and fielding activities.
• Prepare written documentation and essential briefing materials.
