Job summary

MetLife’s Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) Annuity team seeks an Actuarial Associate to provide actuarial and pricing expertise for pension risk transfer transactions. You will work with the Pricing Director and cross-functional partners on bids, assumptions, and post-sale analysis.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of actuarial experience, ASA/Pre-FSA designation, and strong Excel/Access/C++ skills. Hybrid work with in-office days is expected in New York.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years actuarial experience.
• ASA/Pre-FSA designation required.
• Strong Excel, Access, VB, or C++ skills.
• Excellent analytical and spreadsheet skills.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
• Prophet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform PRT case pricing end to end, review plan documents and pricing assumptions.
• Develop and assess behavioral and other actuarial assumptions for transactions.
• Support internal partners on pricing issues.
• Collaborate on bid letters and term sheets for contracts.
• Handle post-sales pricing tasks, cost listings, and price variance analysis.
• Help refine processes to improve quality and efficiency.
