Job summary

Fidelity Investments in Covington, VA, is seeking a Pension Analyst within Workplace Investing. You will blend Defined Benefit domain expertise with leadership, teamwork, and client management, supporting strategic direction and solving complex issues through corporate actions and change orders.

You will lead operational analytics, workflow, and project management for client projects, assist Client Managers and Senior Leaders, and engage with other teams on projects affecting DB products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7+ years of defined benefit/pension plan administration experience.
• Experience in Project Management and/or Analytics; ability to run queries and analyze large data sets.
• Ability to balance day-to-day management of several project-related responsibilities.
• Demonstrate leadership ability with self-motivation and determination.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for complex calculations in Defined Benefit plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access; data analytics experience.
• Client Management experience including requirement discovery and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, lead and drive operational services and efficiencies for clients and the organization.
• Provide leadership on ad hoc client or internal projects requiring critical thinking and self-direction.
• Provide information and advice on plan documentation discrepancies and guidelines.
• Analyze, review, and guide client teams to resolution of escalated client or participant issues.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for issues to clients and participants for problem resolution and data questions.
• Lead multiple client plan processes, maintaining client direction documents.
• Own and analyze operational issues and implement changes based on plan design and regulatory amendments.
• Play a significant role in implementation, corporate actions and other special projects, ensuring defects are identified and tested.
