Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Pension Administration Senior Specialist to lead special pension administration projects, serving as data manager for plan terminations and assisting with calculations and plan document reviews. You will coordinate with clients and Marsh teams to ensure projects stay on budget and within scope.

The role requires strong Excel/Word skills, project management experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in defined benefit administration.
• Prior experience with project management and client relationship management.
• Strong proficiency with MS Excel and Word (proficiency in MS Access desired).
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pension calculation, data, and risk transfer projects and act as primary client contact.
• Serve as data manager for plan termination projects and oversee data cleanup and mapping.
• Manage special project tasks to ensure budget alignment and contract terms.
• Lead and participate in team and project calls; coordinate across internal/external teams.
• Calculate and review benefits (QDROs, 409A, employee contributions, RMDs).
• Keep updated on government regulations/IRS Code.
• Develop and maintain calculation checkers (Access/Excel) for clients.
