Job Description Summary

Provides health care services on a full-time or part-time basis in an owned or affiliated health care entity of Penn Medicine or The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Provides inpatient hospital services as required and fulfills all medico-administrative duties associated with membership on each hospital medical staff of which clinician is a member. May participate in a minimum of 50 hours per year of active and high quality teaching or equivalent service. Performs prompt, courteous and competent professional services in accordance with generally accepted professional standards for such services and with the standards established from time to time. Maintains license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey or location of affiliates, if applicable.

The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes in the Department of Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a full-time position as a medical endocrinologist to join our fast-growing Bucks County and Princeton New Jersey physician group. This position will have clinical responsibilities within the endocrinology division. CHOP Endocrinology provides outpatient care at the Bucks County Specialty Care Center and Princeton New Jersey Specialty Care Center. The ideal candidate should be open to general endocrinology and diabetes and be willing to develop a subspecialty of interest.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Be an active member of the Division that may include being active in operational, quality and patient safety initiatives, and participate in Division meetings.
  2. Ability to provide excellent clinical care to endocrinology and diabetes patients in the community setting.

Qualifications:

  1. M.D.; License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; DEA Licensure. 0-1 year of work experience of related experience in a specified medical field.
  2. Must be Board-certified/board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology.
