Job Summary:

Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining medical imaging and clinical applications within the Virtua Health System. Demonstrates subject matter expertise in solutions development and implementation of software and workflow design in service lines such as Cardiology, Dental, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Neurology, Perinatal, and Radiology. Responsible for understanding and documenting complex business needs, recommending IS solutions, and possessing extensive knowledge of customer workflows, application software, system integrations, modality configurations, and building tools. Provides instruction on technical topics, oversees at least 5 IT applications, and leads or contributes to at least 5 projects annually. Supports application optimization, vendor releases, system upgrades, and defect fixes. Performs technical and functional analysis, develops system requirements, and collaborates with Informatics to develop Visio models, ensuring best practices for build, configuration, workflow analysis, data integrity, and auditing. Adheres to cybersecurity and HIPAA policies. Manages external IS vendor relations for medical imaging and clinical applications and facilitates IT questionnaires.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Interprets and analyzes workflow/system requirements to design, configure, test, and implement solutions, maintaining documentation to establish standards.
  • Handles daily support of IT applications, troubleshooting, and error management, maintaining knowledge of business processes, workflows, and regulatory requirements. Conducts research on emerging technologies to optimize workflow and safety. Engages with customers regularly and develops detailed design specifications based on needs and software capabilities. Works closely with IT and clinical leaders to resolve issues and aligns business needs with IT strategies.
  • Performs system administration, supports disaster recovery plans, and collaborates on future business process designs. Maintains system performance, monitors issues, and takes corrective actions.
  • Spearheads small to medium projects and upgrades, supports troubleshooting, and acts as a technical resource. Participates in system build, testing, and validation, preparing documentation for go-live.
  • Works independently on projects, mentors staff, enforces best practices, and leads service improvement efforts. Maintains CMDB within ServiceNow, supports problem and change management, coordinates updates, and ensures high availability of applications.
  • Participates in performance improvements, working with departments to optimize workflows and integration.
Position Qualifications Required:

Experience: 5+ years in healthcare IT, preferably in medical imaging. Expertise in multiple applications, excellent communication skills, and healthcare domain knowledge. Epic Cupid experience preferred.

Education: B.A./B.S. in Information Systems or related field, or relevant experience.

Certifications: Required in multiple IT applications; proficiency in MS Office and ServiceNow.
