Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester in Tampa, FL to independently run network and web application security assessments for client engagements.

You will identify vulnerabilities, craft detailed reports, and present risk mitigation recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate has hands-on testing experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with offensive security methodologies.

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Penetration Tester with strong experience performing both network and web application security assessments in a client-facing consulting environment. This individual should be a hands-on practitioner who can independently execute testing engagements and communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Perform network penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
• Conduct web application penetration testing against modern applications and APIs
• Execute social engineering assessments, including phishing campaigns and physical security testing
• Identify, exploit, and validate security vulnerabilities
• Develop detailed technical reports and present findings to clients
• Collaborate with client teams to explain risk, remediation recommendations, and best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience performing network and web application penetration testing
• Experience working directly with clients in a consulting or professional services environment
• Strong knowledge of offensive security methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Ability to independently scope, execute, and document security assessments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Certifications

• OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
• eWPT (eLearnSecurity Web Application Penetration Tester)
• Other practical, hands-on penetration testing certifications demonstrating real-world exploitation experience

Preferred Experience With

• Nessus
• Burp Suite

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
