Qualifications

Penetration Tester

Duration: 3-Month Contract- Fully Remote

Pay Rate: $75/hour

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Penetration Tester to augment our security team and independently execute security assessments across applications, APIs, infrastructure, cloud environments, and Active Directory. This individual will identify and exploit vulnerabilities, validate remediation efforts, document findings, and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to help reduce organizational risk.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on offensive security experience, be comfortable managing multiple assessments independently, and have a proven ability to deliver high-quality penetration testing results within established timelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests across web applications, APIs, infrastructure, cloud environments, and Active Directory.
• Identify, exploit, and validate security vulnerabilities using industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security testing using established penetration testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Validate remediation efforts and confirm that identified vulnerabilities have been appropriately addressed.
• Develop professional penetration testing reports with clear technical findings, risk descriptions, evidence, and remediation recommendations.
• Manage multiple assessments and deliverables while meeting project deadlines and testing commitments.
• Communicate security findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and offensive security practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands on experience in penetration testing, offensive security, red teaming, or a related cybersecurity discipline.
• Demonstrated experience testing web applications, APIs, infrastructure, cloud environments, and Active Directory.
• Strong understanding of common attack techniques, vulnerability assessment methodologies, and penetration testing frameworks.
• Experience using industry-standard penetration testing tools and techniques.
• Proven ability to identify, exploit, validate, and clearly document security vulnerabilities.
• Experience creating detailed penetration testing reports and providing actionable remediation recommendations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assessments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI security testing.
• Experience with mainframe security testing.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Cloud security assessment experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Advanced offensive security certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, OSWE, OSED, GXPN, or CPTS.
