Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an NDT technician to perform Penetrant Testing and ensure part integrity for spaceflight systems. You will establish inspection techniques, read blueprints, and document results while coordinating with engineers and management.

The role requires Level II Fluorescent Penetrant experience, ability to pass tests on schedule, and compliance with NAS-410 and ASTM E1417 standards. MS Office skills and overtime flexibility are implied by the program needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Level 2 experience in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection method.
• Must pass Penetrant General Test and Specific Test by week 3.
• Must meet NAS-410 training requirements for Penetrant Testing.
• Qualify to Level II per NAS-410 in Liquid Penetrant with 400+ hours documented.
• Familiar with ASTM E1417 for Liquid Penetrant Testing.
• Visual weld experience and vision requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections using Penetrant Test (PT) method.
• Pass required exams within specified timelines.
• Establish techniques to examine hardware per safety/specs.
• Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly process control checks.
• Document and organize inspection results.
• Interface with Engineers/Managers to report results.
