Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide routine and complex care, support ventilator management, and assist with bronchoscopy procedures.

This 0.90 FTE night-shift role offers education and certification reimbursement, loan forgiveness, safety programs, and access to EPIC charting; competitive benefits include malpractice coverage and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Two to three years college level courses or an associate’s degree in Respiratory Care.
• New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC) required.
• ACLS and/or PALS, BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide all Certified Respiratory Therapist responsibilities.
• Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures and monitor sedation and vitals.
• Initiate ventilator protocols and manage ventilator care.
• Perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation.
• Initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators.
• In NICU: surfactant delivery, intubation, and attend high-risk deliveries.
• Optional: transport team, additional intubation, and back-up charge therapist.
• Initiate and monitor Nitric Oxide delivery.
• Perform other duties within department scope.
