The community you’ll be caring for: Pelvic Physical Therapy Patients

Location: 40124 US-27 #103, Davenport FL 33837

The role you’ll contribute:

When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen, and renew. We serve patients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler, and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians, and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.

As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting, you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. You will utilize process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment, and action.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Engages in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/CI, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group
  • Regularly participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships with a minimum of 2 contacts per month. Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community as approved by manager or director
  • Determines Physical Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, makes recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside of the scope of Physical Therapist practice.
  • Eligible to perform Direct Access Physical Therapy in OP setting, as indicated per state Physical Therapy practice act.
  • Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient’s needs. Monitors patient’s response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist, or Temporary State of Florida permit as Physical Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience or clinical rotations in an outpatient setting
  • APTA Level I & II Pelvic Health or equivalent to assess and treat male and female patients
