Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a part-time Day Shift Physical Therapist for outpatient services. The role focuses on restoring function, improving mobility, and preventing impairment through evidence-based PT plans and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services to restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain.
• Restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health.
• Assess patients' medical histories and test strength, ROM, balance, coordination, posture, and motor function.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to help patients reach goals.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• Physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.
• They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health.
• Their patients include anyone who suffers from physical limitation.
• Therapists examine patients' medical histories and then test and measure the patients' strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
• They develop appropriate treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1 year of experience required (this requirement will be waived with a strong recommendation from an acute care or outpatient clinical affiliation).
• Current valid NJ State Physical Therapy license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Master's degree or PhD in Physical Therapy.
• 2 years' experience.
• Experience with electronic health records a plus

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
