Job summary

BioZyme Incorporated in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Pelleting Specialist to operate the pellet mill and maintain a clean, safe front warehouse area. You will work with the production team to meet schedules and ensure quality standards are met.

You will be responsible for forklift operation, daily bagging of pellets, and accurate record-keeping of production logs. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in the manufacturing of premixes in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing projects.
• Physically able to lift and move 50lbs. on a regular reoccurring basis.
• Willing and able to work off hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Willing and able to wear the necessary PPE.
• Ability to pass a written and driving exam to prove capability of safely operating a forklift.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Work with department team to assure the production plan, schedule, and activities are coordinated to meet company requirements
• Balance quality, productivity, and safety to achieve results in all areas
• Work to continuously improve in all areas
• Safely operate a forklift and pass certification test
• Work as a team member to meet departmental KPIs
• Implement an accurate and efficient pelleting process
• Daily operation of the pellet bagger to process and manufacture feed products according to SOP
• Submit supply chain logs for safety, mechanical, or production issues
• Follow and perform daily checklists and inspections
• Shrink wrap products to pallets when necessary
• Gather and stack pellet bags in proper patterns for shipments; inspect each bag to meet quality standards
• Clean up product spills immediately and dispose
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area by keeping tools and equipment in proper places
• Performs other duties as assigned
