Job summary

Expression Networks seeks a Tester Engineer to support the DEA ICDE modernization in Arlington, VA. You will design, develop, and execute functional tests for Pega applications and related system capabilities in an onsite environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, business analysis, and product teams to translate requirements into test scenarios, manage defects, and maintain regression coverage within Agile iterations. Top Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with Pega functional testing tools and QA approaches for Pega applications.
• Strong QA principles, functional testing, test-case development, defect tracking, and regression testing.
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios while identifying gaps.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking.
• Ability to document defects, risks, test results, and improvement recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineering, business, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute functional test cases for Pega applications and workflows.
• Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into detailed test scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, product stakeholders to ensure coverage.
• Validate system functionality against requirements and user stories.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects with engineering teams.
• Analyze test results and communicate risks and quality concerns.
• Contribute to test planning, scope estimation, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain functional and regression test suites and artifacts.
• Support UAT, system validation, and testing reports.
• Contribute to interoperability testing between components and external systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate testing across iterations.
• Promote quality across the SDLC and provide feedback to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and test coverage.
