Job summary

Expression Networks is seeking a Junior Test Engineer to support the DEA ICDE modernization, delivering a modern, secure, user-friendly investigative and case management ecosystem for federal agencies. This on-site role in Arlington, VA collaborates with developers, BAs, and QA to validate functionality.

Responsibilities include designing and executing tests for Pega applications, documenting defects, maintaining artifacts, and supporting agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 1 year of professional experience.
• Exposure to Pega testing concepts or Pega testing tools through coursework or experience.
• Basic understanding of Quality Assurance principles including test-case creation and defect reporting.
• Ability to translate requirements or user stories into clear test steps.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional tests for Pega applications following guidelines.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and senior QA to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Validate system functionality against documented requirements and confirm expected behavior.
• Execute functional and regression tests and document test results.
• Identify and document defects and track them through resolution and retesting.
• Assist with test-planning and estimate testing effort under guidance.
• Maintain and update regression test cases, results, and QA artifacts.
• Support User Acceptance Testing and other validation activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and align testing with sprint goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote quality throughout the SDLC.
• Review test results and escalate risks or defects to senior QA.
