Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Pega Developer with strong expertise in Pega Constellation architecture and application development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and implementing scalable Pega applications using modern UI and low-code development practices.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering enterprise-grade solutions using Pega Platform, Constellation UI, Case Management, App Studio, and Pega Infinity.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120K - $130K/year & benefits (see below)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and implement Pega applications using Pega Constellation.
- Build modern, responsive user experiences using Constellation UI components and design patterns.
- Develop and configure case types, workflows, stages, processes, data objects, views, and business rules.
- Use Pega App Studio and Pega Dev Studio to deliver business applications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Pega solutions.
- Configure case lifecycle management, approvals, SLAs, notifications, correspondence, and service-level workflows.
- Develop integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, APIs, connectors, and data pages.
- Design and configure data models, data objects, data views, and reusable application components.
- Apply Pega best practices for architecture, performance, security, maintainability, and reuse.
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, QA engineers, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, unit testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance using Pega debugging and monitoring tools.
- Support CI/CD, version control, release management, and deployment across environments.
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, development standards, and implementation guides.
- Stay current with Pega Constellation product capabilities, roadmap updates, and emerging best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Pega development, preferably on Pega Infinity or Pega Platform.
- Strong hands-on experience with Pega Constellation and modern Pega application development.
- Experience with Pega App Studio and Dev Studio.
- Strong knowledge of:Case Management

Preferred Qualifications
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or higher.
- Experience migrating or modernizing applications from Theme Cosmos or traditional Pega UI to Constellation.
- Experience with Pega DX API, React-based front-end integration, or headless application patterns.
- Knowledge of Pega Customer Service, Pega Platform, Pega Financial Services, Pega Healthcare, or other industry frameworks.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Pega Cloud.
- Experience with automated testing and PegaUnit testing.
- Understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and user-centered application design.
