YOUR ROLE

As an IT team member, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions that underpin the world-class customer service our customers expect and deserve—now and in the future.

In your role as a Pega Developer on the LTC Claims team, you will support Genworth's top strategic priorities and critical systems necessary for providing world-class service to our policyholders during their times of need. You will collaborate with business partners and other IT teams to support and develop LTC Claims Administration applications and services, delivering quality solutions to support complex business operations.

What you will be doing

  • Support the Long-Term Care Claims technology Operations team by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable workflow applications used in LTC Claims Operations.
  • Develop software utilizing PEGA Rules Process Commander (PRPC) for Business Process Management and Business Process Rules Development initiatives.
  • Refactor and optimize code continuously, employing visualization and other techniques to accelerate development and innovation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including technology, solutions, and application users.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers, and business users to prioritize development activities effectively within resource constraints.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools as needed to improve system performance and capabilities.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent certifications and experience.
  • At least 3 years of application development experience.
  • Strong understanding of Software Engineering principles.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multiple organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for technical and architectural challenges.
  • Curiosity and a mindset focused on continuous process improvement.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing BPM applications using Pega PRPC Platform 7 & 8.
  • At least 1 year of experience configuring Pega rules and features such as Flows, Activities, UI, and integrations like SOAP/REST.
  • Experience enforcing best practices in PEGA architecture, design, and coding.
  • Experience with full PRPC implementation cycles, including class structure and ruleset design.
  • Experience designing and building distributed enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like .NET or Java and relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams across different time zones.

The salary range for this role starts at $73,900 and can go up to $131,300, with eligibility for performance-based incentives. Final salary offers will depend on location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity.
