Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of 9th and 10th grade high school education.
• No experience required.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Tutoring experience.
• Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject tutoring to help peer students.
• Help peer students become more confident, more successful, and self-directed learners.
• Use active listening strategies to tailor content and pace.
• Make referrals to campus and community resources as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
