Job summary

Racine County seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to provide screening, referral, and follow-up for individuals in the SUD residential program. You will maintain documentation per agency standards and engage residents in peer support while ensuring confidentiality.

You will collaborate with the treatment team, adhere to DHS 75 and Medicaid regulations, and support crisis intervention when needed. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Peer Support Specialist certification is required.
• Experience as a Peer Support Specialist.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, referral, follow-up for substance use consumers.
• Maintain all necessary documentation for interactions with residents per agency standards.
• Monitor and case manage all aspects for individuals at the SUD residential program.
• Engage consumers in peer support.
• Participate in professional staffing and meetings as required.
• Maintain a professional and confidential relationship with consumers.
• Follow all laws and regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR.
• Focus on continued quality improvement and maintain required production levels.
• Provide crisis therapy when indicated (credentialed staff).
• Perform other duties as assigned, including emergencies.
