LifeWorks ofAustin, TXis looking for part-time/relief Peer Support Specialist to join our Peer Services team assisting on site in our peer led, youth Drop-In Center! A Peer Support Specialist utilizes their lived experience and training to provide support services and education to individuals via group facilitation, individual mentorship, community collaboration, and the provision of alternative activities. The Peer Support Specialist utilizes a trauma-informed, strength-based model of support to foster and promote recovery and wellness with each client served.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position. not to exceed 19 hours per week. The schedule offered with this role will be a fixed shift on Saturday's from 12:00pm-8:00pm. The remaining shifts can be picked up on an As Available basis with a minimum requirement of 1 additional 8-hour shift or 2 additional 4-hour shifts per month. This position has a starting rate of $22.75/hr.
