Job summary

PeerStar is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPS) to help individuals conquer mental health obstacles through 1:1 peer support, using lived experience to inspire hope and empowerment. You will build trust and support personal growth, often collaborating with community-based services.

We sponsor certification training for CPS, offer a $1000 sign-on bonus ($2000 if already certified), and provide both full-time and part-time opportunities across Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Must attest to having a mental health diagnosis and be in recovery enough to support others.
• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR 12 months of relevant paid or volunteer work in the last three years.
• Willingness to participate in a two-week course to receive state-issued CPS certification or already possess PCB CPS certification.
• Ability to use an iPad for documentation.
• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Must be able to participate in a two-week course to receive state-issued certification or possess a PCB state-issued CPS certification.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have reliable transportation.
