Job summary

North Range Behavioral Health in Greeley, CO seeks a Peer Support Specialist for Adult Intensive Services. You will draw on your lived experience to support clients toward recovery, social connection, housing, benefits, and overall wellness.

Work with therapists, coordinate services, respond to client needs, and help prevent crises. You will document progress in electronic health records and advocate across schools, healthcare settings, and community resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lived or relational experience similar to the population served.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Commitment to recovery-oriented care and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services under supervision and guidance.
• Model hope and coping strategies using lived experience.

Our approach honors everyone as the expert in their own experience and emphasizes collaboration, respect, and empowerment as every stage of care.As a Peer Support Specialist, you will create a supportive, empowering environment where clients can identify and pursue their own recovery and resiliency goals. Drawing from your lived experience, you will engage individuals in a peer-to-peer capacity, teaching practical skills and providing encouragement as clients work toward self-identified goals related to social connection, education, housing, benefits, illness management, and overall wellness.
