Job summary

Family Resource Center of Northwest Ohio Inc. seeks a dedicated Full Time Service Worker in Findlay, OH. You will provide peer support to people facing recovery challenges and work within a multi-disciplinary team to improve outcomes.

The role involves coaching, resource navigation, and advocacy to reduce stigma and promote empowerment. Applicants should have lived recovery experience and may hold Peer Support Certification.

Qualifications

• Past consumer of mental health or substance abuse services with history of managing one's own illness.
• Awareness of recovery importance in living with mental illness or addictions.
• Direct service experience in a help-oriented field.
• Active membership in consumer advocacy or self-help group with a significant recovery period.
• Peer Support Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to individuals in the community facing challenges.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to improve recovery outcomes.
• Offer ongoing coaching and help navigate community resources.
• Assist clients in expanding their support networks and advocating for rights.
• Utilize computer applications and online systems (Microsoft Office, HRIS, EHR).

In this role you will regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously.

You will have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, earn CPR/First aid certification, and be willing to submit to a background check and finger printing.
